1. About this policy

Gorza Services Pty Ltd (“Gorza”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates Gorza Cleaning Services and Gorza Recruitment. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

This policy explains how we handle personal information about clients, candidates, job applicants, suppliers and visitors to this website. It does not cover the records of our own employees, which are handled under the employee records provisions of the Privacy Act.

2. What personal information we collect

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our services and activities. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and organisation.
  • Cleaning enquiries and quotes: site address or suburb, facility type, services required, approximate size, frequency, preferred start date, and any scope or tender documents you upload.
  • Employer enquiries: the roles, number of staff, work location and start dates you need.
  • Candidates and job applicants: your location, work rights, employment and role preferences, experience, qualifications and tickets, availability, and your résumé. Your résumé may contain other details you choose to include, such as your employment history and referees.
  • Recruitment and pre-employment checks: where relevant to a role and only with your consent, information such as reference checks, licences, police checks or Working with Children checks.
  • Communications: records of your emails, calls and messages with us.

We do not intend to collect sensitive information (such as health information or criminal history) unless it is necessary for a particular role or service and you have consented, or the law requires or allows it. Please do not include sensitive information in a résumé or message unless we ask for it.

You can make a general enquiry without giving your full name. However, we may not be able to provide a quote, consider you for work or respond properly without the information we ask for.

3. How we collect it

We usually collect personal information directly from you, for example when you:

  • complete an enquiry, quote, candidate registration or careers form on this website;
  • email, phone or meet with us;
  • apply for a role or register as a candidate.

We may also collect information from third parties, such as referees you nominate, employers we place candidates with, or publicly available sources. Where we do, we will take reasonable steps to make sure you know about it.

4. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and prepare quotes and proposals;
  • deliver and manage cleaning and recruitment services;
  • assess candidates and applicants, match them with suitable roles, and contact them about current and future opportunities;
  • arrange reference and pre-employment checks, with consent;
  • manage our relationships with clients, candidates and suppliers;
  • meet our legal, work health and safety, and regulatory obligations;
  • improve our services and this website.

We do not sell personal information. We will only send you marketing material if you have agreed to it, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

5. Who we share it with

We may disclose personal information to:

  • prospective employers and clients, when we put a candidate forward for a role. We will discuss this with you before sharing your résumé;
  • referees and check providers, with your consent;
  • contractors and service providers who help us run our business, such as IT, email, website hosting and professional advisers. They may only use the information to provide their services to us;
  • government agencies, regulators or others where the law requires or allows it.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, such as email and cloud storage providers, may store or process information outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure those providers handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. Information sent through our website forms is delivered to our business email accounts. Files you upload are attached to that email and are not kept on the web server.

We keep candidate details and résumés only for as long as they are needed to consider you for current and future opportunities, or as required by law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure. If you would prefer not to use the online forms, please phone us.

9. Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Please contact us using the details below.
